Who it is for. Anyone with chief-executive responsibility for an organisation run from Hong Kong: CEOs, managing directors, group and country heads, and regional heads carrying Greater China or Asia-Pacific profit and loss. What it judges. A tenure: what was decided, what happened, when, and what the organisation can now do that it could not before. What it costs and when. From USD 299; entries close on 15 September 2026.
The World CEO Awards was founded in Dubai in 2021 by Golden Tree Events LLC; four editions have been held and the official site is worldceoawards.com. The programme's 20 categories are named for kinds of leadership — transformational, growth-driven, international expansion, digital transformation, people leadership, crisis management, sustainability, industry leadership, emerging — so that a chief executive is judged on the story of a tenure rather than on the size of a company.
Hong Kong is dense with chief executives of consequence: the heads of the listed conglomerates and property groups, of banks that run Asia from Central, of family businesses in their third and fourth generations, of the Greater China and Asia-Pacific operations of multinationals, and of founder-led companies that have scaled across the boundary. Every one of those tenures fits a category.
Who should participate
Eligible nominees carry chief-executive responsibility:
- Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors
- Founder-CEOs and Group CEOs
- Country and regional heads with P&L responsibility
- Executive Directors of private, listed, family and public-sector organisations

Nominate a Hong Kong chief executive
Twenty categories, four editions, independent jury. A board, a colleague, an adviser or the CEO may submit; the criteria are the same.
What to send: a Hong Kong CEO nomination
Three pages, not thirty. First, the mandate: the organisation, the date the nominee took charge, and what they were asked to do. Second, the record: growth by market or segment, transformation programmes with milestones, a turnaround with before-and-after figures, listings or capital events, the leadership team built — all dated, indexed where the board prefers. Third, the reach: industry bodies, government advisory roles, mentoring, community — the published criteria count contribution beyond the organisation. Regional heads present the Greater China or Asia-Pacific business they run, not the global parent.
Most nominees enter the organisation as well — the Asia Best of Best Awards for the company, the World CEO Awards for its leader — under one Diamond package with two juries.
