Automotive Awards in Hong Kong

Hong Kong buys few cars per head and changes its mind fast. Electric vehicles took most of new private-car registrations within a few years of incentives arriving; the taxi and public-light-bus fleets are electrifying under government programmes; mainland EV brands have entered through new and established distributors; and charging — in car parks, estates and roadside — has become an industry of its own. Around that sit the long-established distributor groups holding European and Japanese franchises, leasing and rental companies serving a population that mostly does not own, workshops and parts suppliers, and mobility platforms for ride-hailing and car-sharing.

What the jury will ask an automotive company

What brands, network and services? How is it performing? Registrations or share by segment, after-sales retention, fleet size and utilisation, charging points and uptime — over a defined period, indexed if needed. Are customers satisfied? Scores, warranty and service turnaround. Is it to standard? Brand-principal audits, ISO. What has changed? The EV transition — share of electrified sales, charging partnerships, technician retraining, fleet electrification contracts — with dates.
