The gala is the network's one annual ceremony — the Asia Best of Best and the other regional programmes, the hospitality programmes, the technology, real-estate and beauty programmes and the four leadership programmes all announced in a single evening. The running order goes from a welcome reception through two presentation sessions and dinner to closing photographs. From Hong Kong, a direct flight of about eight hours; most attendees make a long weekend of it and book only after results are known.
