Who it is for. Hotels, resorts, serviced apartments and boutique properties in Hong Kong; travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, attractions, cruise agents, MICE organisers and online travel businesses based here. What it judges. Guest experience, performance, quality and growth over a defined period, in the category — of 206 — that names the business most exactly. Cost and dates. From USD 299; entries close on 15 September 2026.

Founded in 2021 by Golden Tree Events LLC in Dubai and now in its tenth edition, the International Travel Awards is the network's largest programme by category count: 131 hotel and resort categories by segment, brand type, facility and guest experience, and 75 travel and tourism categories covering agencies, operators, DMCs, online travel, attractions and destinations. Its official site is internationaltravelawards.org.

Hong Kong's hospitality industry has the range to use all of it: harbour-front luxury, business hotels in Wan Chai and Kowloon East, boutique properties in converted buildings, resorts on Lantau and at the theme parks, serviced apartments for the finance district; and, on the travel side, licensed agencies running Greater Bay Area itineraries, inbound operators, attraction operators, cruise agents at Kai Tak and event organisers at the convention centre.

Who should participate

Eligible nominees are hospitality and travel businesses of any size or segment:

  • Hotels, resorts, boutique and lifestyle properties
  • Serviced apartments, villas and holiday-home operators
  • Travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs and OTAs
  • Airlines, aviation services, cruise, yacht and marine operators
  • Tourism boards, attractions and experience providers

Nominate a Hong Kong hotel, resort or travel business

Two hundred and six categories, tenth edition, independent jury.

What to send: a Hong Kong property or travel business

Properties: occupancy, ADR and RevPAR movement over a defined period (indexed if confidential), guest-satisfaction and review scores, MICE and F&B contribution, renovations or reopenings with dates, sustainability certification, team development. Travel businesses: bookings or passengers and growth, customer scores, products launched — Greater Bay Area itineraries, cruise-and-stay, incentive, digital — and partnerships described by outcome. The recovery since 2023 is a story to tell with numbers, and the jury will read it against hotels and operators in other markets.

Hotels usually pair the entry with the World GM Awards for the General Manager; restaurants and spas inside the property enter their own programmes.
