The short version. Kowloon's hotels, restaurants and spas enter the International Travel, Restaurant and Spa Awards with the World GM Awards for their General Managers; its retailers, traders, media, event and office-based companies the Asia Best of Best Awards; its leaders the World CEO, Golden Women and Golden Entrepreneur Awards. From USD 299; entries close on 15 September 2026.

Kowloon is Hong Kong's most varied district. Tsim Sha Tsui holds the harbour-front hotels — the grande dame among them — the Canton Road luxury strip, Harbour City and the museums of the waterfront; West Kowloon has become a cultural district with M+, the Palace Museum and the Xiqu Centre beside the high-speed rail terminus to the mainland; Kowloon East — Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay — is the second central business district, with converted industrial buildings full of offices, studios and start-ups; Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and Sham Shui Po are the trading heart — electronics, textiles, street markets, the old trades; and Kai Tak, on the old airport, has the cruise terminal, a new sports park and a new residential district.

For award purposes that means hospitality and guest-experience businesses on the waterfront, retail and trade in the centre, offices and start-ups in the east and events at Kai Tak. This guide sets out the programmes that fit and the evidence a jury will expect.

How a jury reads Kowloon

A jury will recognise Tsim Sha Tsui's skyline view; the nomination's job is to show what the business did. Hotels: occupancy, rate and satisfaction through the recovery, with dates. Retailers: sales and footfall as visitor patterns changed, omnichannel and cross-border performance. Traders and electronics businesses: growth, service levels, supply diversification. Event and venue operators at Kai Tak: attendance, safety, commercial results, programming. Start-ups in Kowloon East: traction and markets. Recovery and adaptation since 2023 is the district's story when told with numbers.
